Its non fried version of vada pav.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Stuffing ---
  2. oil 2 tablespoon
  3. Asafoetida- 2 pinch
  4. Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  5. Musterd seeds - 1 teaspoon
  6. Coriander seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
  8. Chopped onion - 1
  9. Chopped green chilly - 1
  10. Ginger Paste - 1 teaspoon
  11. Curry leaves 8-10
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Chilly powder - 1 teaspoon
  14. Turmeric powder -1/2 teaspoon
  15. Potato boiled and grated 5-6
  16. Chopped coriander - 2 tablespoon
  17. Lemon juice - 2 teaspoon
  18. Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  19. Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  20. For the dough ----
  21. Refined flour - 2 cup
  22. Dry yeast - 1 teaspoon
  23. Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  24. Salt - 1 teaspoon
  25. Milk powder - 1 tablespoon
  26. Butter - 1 tablespoon
  27. Water or milk as required

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan, add oil ,asafoetida and all the ingredient one by one while sauteing . Turn off the flame , add lemon juice and coriander leaves in the last . Mix well and let it cool .
  2. For dough --- in a bowl add 1/4 cup lukewarm water, yeast , and sugar, keep it aside for 10 min.
  3. In a big bowl add refined flour, salt, milk powder, yeast mixture and water or milk to knead a soft dough.
  4. Keep the dough at warm place to prove for half an hour .
  5. Now punch the dough, make the balls, roll it a little, put some stuffing, lift the edges and seal them in center.
  6. Place these stuffed balls in a greased oven tray, let them prove for half an hour at warm place.
  7. Apply milkwash on balls and sprinkle some sesame seeds .
  8. Now put this tray in inpreheated oven at 180degree for 15 -20 min .
  9. Serve with mint and garlic chutney .
