English muffins are sold in all British supermarkets and also in many bakeries. You can bake this english muffins in large quantity and freeze them, which is seriously very handy to make your favourite sandwiches out of it when you dont have enough time to buy your bread.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 4+1/2cups All purpose flour
  2. 2tsp Instant yeast
  3. 2tbsp Sugar
  4. 50gramsButter
  5. 2cups Milk
  6. 1tsp Salt
  7. Semolina (for sprinkling the baking tray)

Instructions

  1. Take the flour, yeast, sugar, butter, salt in a bowl, add the luke warm milk and need everything as a smooth dough.
  2. Knead the dough well until the dough turns super soft and elastic. Transfer the dough to a greased bowl and cover it with a towel.
  3. Keep the bowl in a warm place until the dough rise double in volume.
  4. Now punch the dough and divide the dough into 16pieces, roll each ball as smooth ball and flatten the balls. Sprinkle generously semolina on a baking sheet lined baking tray.
  5. Transfer the muffins to it and cover them, let them sit for 20 minutes.
  6. Heat a pan or griddle, drop the muffins and cook on both sides until the crust turns brown in colour
  7. Remove the muffins and let them cool before enjoying with your favourite spread.
