Curd or Yogurt or Dahi comes from milk and therefore, it is loaded with several essential nutrients like calcium, vitamin B-2, vitamin B-12, potassium, and magnesium. An advantage with yogurt is that it is light on the stomach and easier to digest than milk. Using such healthy ingredient in Jai Ki Rasoi Se made very famous dessert from Western India "Shrikhand"

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Hung Curd (Chakka Dahi) - 100 Grams
  2. Castor Sugar (Chini/Shakkar Ka Powder) - 50 grams
  3. Finley Chopped Almonds (Barik Kate Badam) - 5 to 6
  4. Finley Chopped Cashewnut (Barik Kate Kaaju) - 5 to 6
  5. Finley Chopped Pistachio (Barik Kate Pasta) - 5 to 6
  6. Soaked Saffron in Milk - 10 to 15 Strings
  7. Cardamom Powder (Elaichi Powder) - 1 Pinch


  1. In a bowl add hung curd and castor sugar. Mix well
  2. Now add all finely chopped dry fruits almonds, cashewnut, pistachio and cardamom powder.
  3. Mix all the ingredients. Finally all soaked saffron strings and mix well Keep it in the freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
  4. Now the dish is ready serve it by garnishing with finely chopped dry fruits
