ABOUT Palak Methi Soya in Dhaba Style RECIPE

Spinach or Palak is very low in fat and even lower in cholesterol. It is high protein, fiber, vitamins A, C, E & K and Iron. Dill or Soya leaves are an aromatic herb. They are good source of calcium, manganese and iron. Fenugreek or Methi leaves are helpful in treating gastric problems and other intestinal issues. By using these three healthy leafy ingredients in Jai Ki Rasoi Se made "Palak Methi Soya in Dhaba Style"

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Finely Chopped Spinach (Barik Kati Palak) - 5 to 6 Bunches
  2. Finely Chopped Fenugreek Leaves (Barik Kati Methi) - 2 to 3 Bunches
  3. Finely Chopped Dil Leaves (Barik Kata Soya) - 2 Bunches
  4. Finely Chopped Green Coriander (Barik Kata Hara Dhaniya) - 1 Bunch
  5. Finely Sliced Onion (Barik Ka Pyaz) - 1 Medium Size
  6. Slit Green Chilies (Kati Hari Mirch) - 5 to 6
  7. Red Chili Powder (Laal Mirch Powder) - 1 Table Spoon
  8. Turmeric Powder (Haldi Powder) - 1 Tea Spoon
  9. Dry Red Chillies (Sukhi Lal Mirch) - 5 to 6
  10. Finely Chopped Garlic (Barik Kata Lasoon) - 5 to 6 -
  11. Oil - As Per Requirement
  12. Salt According to Taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a nonstick pan or kadai. Once the oil is hot add finely chopped garlic and red chillies. Mix well and cook till garlic turns light brown
  2. Add finely sliced onion and cook till they become light brown
  3. Now add finely chopped spinach, fenugreek leaves, dil leaves and green coriander. Cover and cook for 2 minutes. This will help the greens to release their water
  4. Add dry masalas like red chilli & turmeric powder. Season it with salt according to taste. Mix all ingredients. Cook on low flame till the water from the greens get evaporated and oil get separated from it
  5. Finely add slit green chillies. Mix and cook for another two minutes
  6. The dish is ready to be served with any Indian bread or Flavored Rice
