About Goan Fish Fry Recipe

A typical fish rava fry recipe from Goa which is immensely easy yet full of taste.

Goan Fish Fry

Ingredients to make Goan Fish Fry

  • Kingfish cut in thin pieces 250 gms
  • turmeric powder 2 tbsp
  • ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • red chilly powder 1 tbsp
  • lime juice 2 tbsp
  • Rawa 5 tbsp
  • Rice flour 1 tbsp
  • Soya sauce 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil to fry

How to make Goan Fish Fry

  1. Wash and keep the fish aside.
  2. Mix all ingredients (except rawa, rice flour and oil).
  3. Marinate fish in this masala for at least 1 hour.
  4. Mix the rawa, a pinch of salt and rice flour well.
  5. Coat the fish in rawa and shallow fry it on a pan adding oil on all sides.
  6. Serve hot when golden brown from both sides with salad.

My Tip:

Adding soya sauce not only enhances the taste but give a richer colour to the dish
