About Stromboli Recipe

It's basically Pizza all rolled up, a perfect snack for all occasions.

Stromboli

Ingredients to make Stromboli

  • Home made Pizza Dough 250 grms
  • Home made pizza sauce 1/2 cup
  • Mozarella cheese 1/2 cup
  • Stir fried chicken 250 grms
  • Extra Pizza sauce for dipping
  • FOR PIZZA DOUGH
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 50 grms butter
  • Pizza sauce
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 10 garlic pods crushed
  • 1 tbsp dry basil, oregano and garlic flakes
  • STIR FRY chicken
  • 250 grm chicken
  • Ginger garlic Paste
  • Salt and pepper
  • BASIL powder 1 tsp
  • Oregano 1 tsp

How to make Stromboli

  1. PIZZA DOUGH
  2. Warm the milk. Take the yeast , add sugar and add warm milk. Whisk and let the yeast proof.
  3. Take the WWF & flour and add egg and add the proofed yeast
  4. Add melted butter and knead the dough for 10 to 15 mins
  5. Let the dough rise. May take 45 min to 1 hr
  6. FOR PIZZA SAUCE
  7. Take oil add crushed garlic. Add the chopped onion and tomatoes. Add the dry herbs mentioned.
  8. Cook till the sauce dries
  9. FOR STIR FRY CHICKEN
  10. Take oil. Add ginger and garlic. Add the chicken, salt, pepper, basil & oregano.
  11. Let the chicken cook in its own water.
  12. FOR ASSEMBLING THE STROMBOLI
  13. Roll the pizza dough & cut the sides of the pizza dough into strips
  14. Spread the pizza sauce. Spread the chicken. Spread chopped spinach. Spread the cheese.
  15. Start braiding the roll. Seal the top and bottom of the roll and give a egg wash.
  16. Bake the Stromboli in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30 min or till the top turns golden
  17. Serve hot with pizza sauce

My Tip:

Vegetables can also be stuffed inside the stromboli
