Grilled Green Masala Mackerel Fish

Ingredients to make Grilled Green Masala Mackerel Fish

  • 3 large Mackerel Fish
  • 1 tbsp mustard oil
  • ⅛ tsp turmeric powder
  • ⅛ tsp chilly powder
  • salt to taste
  • Juice of half lemon
  • For Green masala:
  • 1 cup coriander leaves
  • 10-12 mint leaves
  • 1 inch ginger chopped
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 6 large green chillies
  • 1 tbsp mustard oil

How to make Grilled Green Masala Mackerel Fish

  1. TAKE 3 LARGE MACKEREL FISH,ADD 1/8 TSP OF TURMERIC AND CHILLY POWDER, SALT,LEMON JUICE OF 1/2 LEMON
  2. RUB THE MASALA WELL ON THE FISH
  3. KEEP THE FISH MARINATED WHILE YOU MAKE THE GREEN MASALA
  4. ADD 1 CUP CORIANDER LEAVES, FEW MINT LEAVES, 1 INCH GINGER, 6 GARLIC, 1 SMALL ONION,6 GREEN CHILLIES
  5. GRIND THEM INTO A FINE SMOOTH PASTE
  6. TRANSFER THE MASALA IN A BOWL AND ADD 1 TBSP MUSTARD OIL AND MIX WELL
  7. APPLY HALF OF THE GREEN MASALA PASTE OVER THE FISH NICELY INCLUDING THE SLASHES
  8. LET IT STAND FOR 5-10 MINS.
  9. IN A GRILL PAN ADD 1 TBSP MUSTARD OIL AND LET IT HEAT.
  10. ADD THE MARINATED FISH IN THE HOT PAN IN SINGLE LAYER
  11. COOK THE FISH OVER MEDIUM HEAT FOR 5 MINS AND FLIP OVER THE OTHER SIDE.
  12. APPLY THE GREEN MASALA OVER THE FISH AGAIN
  13. FLIP OVER AND COOK FOR ABOUT 2 MINS.
  14. AGAIN APPLY THE GREEN MASALA THE OTHER SIDE
  15. FLIP OVER AND COOK FOR 2 MINS
