ABOUT Sindhi Kadhi RECIPE

Sindhi kadhi is very delicious and nutritious. This tangy Kadhi is made with roasted gram flour and mix of vegetables. Traditionally it is served with rice.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 potato
  2. Cauliower 50 gms
  3. Gwar fali 50 gms
  4. Lady finger 50 gms
  5. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  6. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 1 tsp ginger grated
  9. 1/2 cup tomato puree
  10. Methi seeds 1/2 tsp
  11. Masturd seeds 1/2 tsp
  12. 4 tsp oil
  13. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  14. Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
  15. 8 tsp gram flour
  16. Drumsticks 2

Instructions

  1. HEAT 2TBSP OIL, ADD 2 DRUMSTICKS, 200 GMS CAULIFLOWER CHOPPED.
  2. ADD 1 CHOPPED POTATO, 50 GMS GWARFALI.
  3. ADD 50 GMS LADYFINGERS & SAUTE.
  4. COVER AND COOK TILL SOFT.
  5. SAUTE ALL VEGETABLES, KEEP ASIDE.
  6. HEAT 2 TBSP OIL ADD 1 /2 TSP EACH CUMIN SEEDS, METHI, MUSTARD SEEDS.
  7. ADD 1/4 TSP ASAFOETIDA, 2 DRY RED CHILLIES, 1 TSP GRATED GINGER.
  8. NOW ADD 8 TSP GRAM FLOUR.
  9. STIR CONTINUOUSLY, ROAST UNTILL GOLDEN BROWN ON LOW FLAME.
  10. HEAT OFF, ADD 2 CUPS WATER.
  11. STIR CONTINUOUSLY, MAKE A SMOOTH BATTER.
  12. ADD 1 /2 CUP TOMATO PUREE.
  13. ADD 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER, 1/2 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER, SALT TO TASTE.
  14. NOW ADD COOKED VEGETABLES.
  15. ADD MORE 1 CUP WATER, COOK ON LOW FLAME.
  16. ADD 1/4 CUP TAMARIND PULP.
  17. COVER AND COOK MORE 4-5 MINUTES.
  18. HEAT OFF.
  19. GARNISH WITH GREEN CORRIANDER.
  20. SERVE HOT.
