Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Raw jackfruit 400 gm, cut into dices
  2. Mushrooms 200 gm, cut into dices
  3. Coconut milk 1/2 cup
  4. Coconut water 1/2 cup
  5. Red chillies 5 pieces, soaked in 1 tbsp vinegar
  6. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  7. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  8. Peppercorn 1 tsp
  9. Garlic cloves 6 pieces
  10. Ginger paste 1 tsp
  11. Sugar as per taste
  12. Salt as per taste
  13. Oil 1 tbsp
  14. Few curry leaves and shahi jeera

Instructions

  1. First cut the raw jackfruit and mushroom into dices, then boil them with salt. After boiling, drain the excess water and keep aside.
  2. Except the coconut milk and coconut water, mix in all the spices with vinegar and make a paste.
  3. In a pan, heat oil and add the curry leaves and shahi jeera. Saute the raw jackfruit and mushroom. Keep aside.
  4. In the same oil, add the masala paste, when the paste starts leaving the oil, add the coconut milk and coconut water.
  5. Then add the fried jackfruit and mushroom along with salt and sugar.
  6. Cover and cook for 5-7 mins in a medium flame.
  7. Serve it hot with rice.
