ABOUT Sweet and Sour Sesame Chicken RECIPE

This is quite similar with Teriyaki chicken but the cooking method is different. I have done some variations in spice also. Hope you all will like it.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Chicken boneless 500 gm
  2. Ground black pepper 2 teaspoon
  3. Salt 1 tespoon
  4. Bread crumbs 3/4 cup
  5. Toasted sesame seeds 3 teaspoon
  6. Olive oil 1/2 cup
  7. For sauce:-
  8. Honey 1/3 cup
  9. Grated ginger 1 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Red chilli paste 1 teaspoon
  11. Vinegar 1 tblespoon
  12. Soy sauce 1/2 cup
  13. Brown sugar 1/4 cup
  14. Finely chopped garlic 2
  15. Water 1/2 cup
  16. Sesame Oil 1 tablespoon
  17. cornflour 1 tablespoon
  18. Water 2 tablespoon


  1. Cut the chicken in 1 inch pieces and season with salt and pepper and coat in breadcrumbs and place it on a baking sheet.
  2. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C and bake the chicken pieces for 25-30 minutes. Drizzle olive oil on chicken piecea before baking.
  3. Now heat a sauce pan and add sesame oil, chopped garlic, grated ginger, red chilli paste and stir for 2 minutes.
  4. Now add 1/2 cup water, soy sauce, honey and brown sugar in it. Stir until it comes to a boil.
  5. Take a small bowl and add cornflour and water to make a mixture. Add this mixture in boiling sauce, and keep stirring until it thickens.
  6. Now take out the baked chicken pieces in a bowl, pour sweet and sour sauce over it and sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on it.
  7. Serve hot.
