Ingredients to make Rajasthani gunda sabzi /gum berry sabzi

  • 200 Gms of gum berry /gunda
  • 1/2 Cup of finely chopped onion
  • 1Tsp of finely chopped garlic
  • 1Tsp of green chilly finely chopped
  • 1/2 Tsp of red chilly powder
  • 1/2Tsp of turmeric powder
  • 1/2Tsp of corriander powder
  • 1/2 Tsp of cummin seeds
  • 2Tsp of mustard oil
  • salt to taste
  • Pinch of asaifoiedita
  • 1/2 tsp of aamchur powder
  • 1/2 Tsp of garam masala powder

How to make Rajasthani gunda sabzi /gum berry sabzi

  1. ADD 1&1/2 GLASS OF WATER TO PAN AND KEEP FOR BOILING
  2. ADD 1/2 TSP OF SALT AND GUM BERRY / LASODA / GUNDA TO WATER
  3. AS IT CHANGES ITS COLOUR TO LIGHTER AND BECOMES SOFT SWITCH OFF THE FLAME
  4. STRAIN THE WATER
  5. REMOVE THE CAP OF GUM BERRY AND PRESS GENTLY SO THE SEED COMES OUT
  6. ADD TWO TBSP OF OIL TO HOT PAN
  7. PINCH OF ASAFOEIDITA AND 1/2 TSP OF CUMMIN SEEDS TO HOT OIL
  8. ADD 1TSP EACH OF GARLIC , GREEN CHILLY AND HALF CUP OF CHOPPED ONION
  9. SAUTE TILL ONION TURNS TRANSCULENT
  10. ADD 1 GRATED AAMLA
  11. ADD 1/2 TSP EACH OF RED CHILLY POWDER , HALDI POWDER AND CORRIANDER POWDER
  12. ADD SALT TO TASTE AND 1/2 TSP OF GARAM MASALA POWDER
  13. MAKE TWO PARTS OF VUM BERRY WITH FINGERS
  14. ADD GUM BERRYS TO PAN AND SAUTE
  15. ADD 1/2 TSP OF AAMCHUR POWDER /DRY MANGO POWDER
  16. AFTER 5-7 MINUTES THIS SABZI IS COOKED
  17. ADD 1/2 LEMON JUICE AND GIVE A GOOD STIR AND SWITCH OFF GAS
  18. REMOVE SABZI IN SERVING PLATE
