ABOUT Angakar roti (with a blend of spices) RECIPE

A traditional dish from Chhattisgarh with a full protein pack.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Rice flour- 1 cup
  2. Water- required
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Moong dal- ¼ cup
  5. Chilli - 2 nos
  6. Coriander leaves - few

Instructions

  1. Soak the moong daal for an hour. Then grind it in a mixer coarsely with a little water.
  2. Steam it in a steaming pot for 20 minutes.
  3. Now the cake is ready to add the spices, add chilli, coriander leaves and salt with the cake in a mixer to crumble it (rotate the button reversely).
  4. Add the cumin seeds to it and now the filling is ready to go in the dough.
  5. Boil water in a pan and add the flour. Mix well and keep it on a low flame for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Now the dough is ready, roll it into balls and keep it covered with a wet cloth.
  7. Now take the balls, spread it with a roller and add the filling. Cover and knead it like a roti.
  8. Heat a tawa in a medium flame and flip it with ghee.
  9. Serve it hot with aachar/chutney.
