Pomfret Rawa Fry

Ingredients to make Pomfret Rawa Fry

  • Two medium sized pomfret fish cut into slices
  • 4 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tsp each of coriander and cumin powder
  • 2 tsp of red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 4 tsp of coriander and Pudina chutney
  • Enough Rawa( semolina) to coat the fish
  • salt to taste
  • Required quantity of vegetable oil

How to make Pomfret Rawa Fry

  1. Clean and wash the fish pieces —
  2. Marinate the pieces with all the above masalas — except Rawa and oil — for 30 minutes
  3. After marination coat the pieces generously with rawa —
  4. Heat enough oil in a non-stick pan — (since the fishes needed to be deep fried )
  5. Deep fry the fish pieces — until it turns golden brown in colour —
  6. Serve it as a starter or as an accompaniment to main course —-
