About Eve's Pudding Recipe

Eve’s Pudding is a traditional British apple dessert which entails a cake-like topping on baked apples. Served with custard, cream or icecream

Eve's Pudding

Ingredients to make Eve's Pudding

  • 3 green apples peeled, cored and sliced
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup - 2tbsp flour
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 80 gms soft butter

How to make Eve's Pudding

  1. Preheat oven to 180.Grease baking dish
  2. Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl so that they are evenly mixed.
  3. Place the sliced apples in a large bowl and add the lemon juice, half of the sugar, and stir well. Put the apples into the greased dish and set aside.
  4. Blend the remaining sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, blend until frothy
  5. Slowly add dry ingredients and cut and fold the mixture gently
  6. Pour the batter on sliced apples, spread evenly. Bake for 30-40 minutes until done. Serve warm with custard, cream or ice-cream
