About Afghani Chicken Recipe

Afghani chicken is a flavorful dish and it is accompanied by rumali roti or you can have this as an evening snack too.

Afghani Chicken

Ingredients to make Afghani Chicken

  • Halg kg- Boneless chicken
  • garlic paste-3 tsp
  • ginger paste-2 tsp
  • lime juice - 2 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • Chili powder - 2 tsp
  • Hung curd - 3 tbsp
  • oil - 1 tsp
  • salted butter -2 tsp

How to make Afghani Chicken

  1. Wash the chicken properly
  2. Slit the chicken by giving small cuts with knife.
  3. Now take a big bowl and add chicken pieces.
  4. Add salt,curd,red chili powder,oil,lime juice and ginger garlic paste.
  5. Mix it well with the chicken.
  6. Rub the chicken and paste with your fingers ,so that the curd masala should coat properly in the pieces.
  7. Now cover the bowl with a cling film and put the bowl in refrigerator for 3 hours.
  8. Now take 4 to 5 onions and cut it in big square cube size or you can mix some button onions too with a small cut in between the onion. Button onions(very small onions)
  9. Now take the bowl out from the fridge.
  10. Pre heat the oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes.
  11. Now take a baking try and lay a foil paper on it.
  12. Grease the foil paper with some oil or butter.
  13. Mix the chicken pieces again and add onions too in the same bowl and give a good mix.
  14. Place the onions and chicken pieces on the tray and put some butter on the pieces of the chicken.
  15. Bake the chicken at 220 degrees for 30 minutes.
  16. After 30 minutes .Make the oven temperature 200 degrees and again bake it for more 30 minutes .
  17. Your Afghani chicken is ready to enjoy.
