About Nasigoreng ---An Indonesian FriedRice Recipe

This dish in one word can be described as an Indonesian fried rice served with fried egg (sunny side up), some prawn crackers and fresh salad.

Ingredients to make Nasigoreng ---An Indonesian FriedRice

  • Leftover rice 2 to 3 medium-sized bowls
  • Some shredded and boiled chicken and prawns
  • 2 teaspoon of fish Sauce
  • 4 teaspoon of hoisin Sauce
  • 2 teaspoon of shrimp Paste
  • 2 teaspoon of sambal Sauce ( red chilli Sauce )
  • Sunflower oil 4 to 5 teaspoon
  • egg 3 to 4 depending upon the members to serve.
  • Prawn Crackers
  • One sliced onion and 6 to 7 gloves of garlic together roughly grinded
  • salt to taste
  • Vegetables used : Sliced Carrot, beans and cabbage

How to make Nasigoreng ---An Indonesian FriedRice

  1. This dish has to be prepared on high heat . Heat some oil in a wok , put in the grinded onion and garlic paste.
  2. Saute a little bit , add in all the vegetables , fry for sometime , then add the prawns and the chicken. Stir in high flame .
  3. Then when the vegetables gets half-cooked , add in all the sauces together with the rice.
  4. Adjust the seasoning. Stir fry for another 2 to 3 mins and your Indonesian fried rice —– Nasigoreng is ready to eat.
