ABOUT Yorkshire pudding -A British favourite RECIPE

Though the recipe name says ‘pudding’ ,this English food isn’t a pudding. This is a very famous bread served with thick meat stew.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 4 eggs
  2. 1 1/2 cup plain flour
  3. 200ml milk
  4. Salt and black pepper to taste
  5. oil 3-4 tbsp


  1. 1. Preheat oven to 210 C .
  2. 2. In a muffin tray,add 1 tsp of oil in 10 slots. Put the tray with oil in oven to heat for minimum 15 minutes.
  3. 3. Crack 4 eggs in a mixing bowl, whisk them to uniform mixture. Add in milk ,plain flour,salt and pepper. Whisk to make thick batter. Batter should coat back of the spoon.
  4. 4. Take the hot muffin tray (with oil) out of the oven carefully. And add the prepared mixture in each slot upto 3/4 of the capacity of slot.
  5. 5. Put the filled tray back to oven for 15 minutes. DONT open oven in between.
  6. 6. The Yorkshire pudding will be nice and fluffy, with brown crowns ,ready to go with a jam or a curry or a stew.
