ABOUT Stuffed Gajar Halwa Roll RECIPE

This is my innovative dish. Usually we make gajar halwa with sugar, here I am using dry dates, honey.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Greated carrots 2 to 3 big size
  2. Ghee 1 tbsp
  3. Mawa 50 gms
  4. Dry fruits chopped 1 tbsp
  5. Cinnamon powder 1tsp
  6. Dry dates water 100 gms
  7. Honey 2 tbsp
  8. Kesar milk masala 1 tbsp
  9. Milk 1/2 cup
  10. Bread slices 6 to 8
  11. Bread crumbs 4 to 5 tbsp
  12. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Take a pan, heat ghee, add in grated carrots and saute nicely.
  2. Add poppy seeds and roast in ghee with carrots, now add mawa mix it well. Add dry fruits, saute the mixture till it becomes of a light orange colour.
  3. Add honey and dates water (take seedless dates, add in water as required. Boil them till they dissolve, grind to get a thick paste) Cook till the halwa softens, turn off the flame and add kesar milk masala. Mix well and keep aside to cool.
  4. Wet individual bread slices in milk, stuff halwa and make a roll. Coat with breadcrumbs and keep the rolls aside.
  5. Deep fry the roll till they are golden brown.
  6. Garnish with cardamom powder or caramel.
