About Muhallabia Recipe

This is a rose-flavoured pudding with a creamy texture. It is filled with the richness of dates and dry fruits.

Ingredients to make Muhallabia

  • 5cups milk
  • 5 tsp sugar
  • 2tsp rice flour
  • 2tsp cornflour
  • 1/2 cup rose water
  • 6 tsp dates soaked for 1/2hr in water and then chopped
  • 1/2 cup dry fruits

How to make Muhallabia

  1. Take all the ingredients.
  2. Add milk to the pan. Add sugar, rice, flour and cornflour to the milk mix it well.
  3. Cook milk on the low flame. Stir it constantly. See it doesn't form lumps. Sauce should be smooth and creamy.
  4. Add rose syrup,chopped dates and dry fruits into the sauce. Stir well and take it off from the heat. Cool it to the room temperature.
  5. Take a serving glass, add Muhallabia. Chill for 5-6 hrs. Garnish with dates and dry fruits.
