ABOUT Cashew Nut Kheer RECIPE

Cashew nut kheer is a very rich and creamy dessert, you can prepare this during festival times or simply as a sweet dish to consume after a feast.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 12 Cashew nuts
  2. 2 tablespoon - Chironji nuts
  3. 2 cups - Milk
  4. Few saffron strands
  5. 1/2 cup - Sugar
  6. Few sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Take some warm water in a bowl and soak the cashew and chironji nuts for an hour.
  2. Grind these nuts with enough milk to make a thick paste.
  3. Boil the milk and add the sugar. On the side, take a spoon of warm milk and soak the saffron strands. Keep this aside.
  4. Now put in the cashew and chironji paste to the boiling milk and let it simmer until the kheer turns a little thick.
  5. Finally add in the soaked saffron strands kept aside and switch off the heat.
  6. Serve chilled or warm as desired with a topping of sliced almonds.
