ABOUT Prawn pulav. RECIPE

A mild spicy rice pulav, in coconut milk.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Prawns , cleaned & deveined 15
  2. TO MARINATE PRAWNS
  3. Chilli powder 1 1/2 tbsp
  4. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  5. Salt
  6. Oil to deep fry prawns
  7. Cooked rice 3 cups
  8. Coconut Milk 1 Cup
  9. Onion 1 . sliced
  10. Salt
  11. Ghee & oil 3 tbsp
  12. Coriander leaves 3/4 cup
  13. To crush
  14. Small Onion 10
  15. Garlic 5 cloves
  16. green chillies 3
  17. Ginger a small piece
  18. Whole spices
  19. Cinnamon 1 inch piece
  20. Cardamom 3
  21. Cloves 4

Instructions

  1. Marinate prawns with the given ingredients & Keep for 1/2 an hr.
  2. Fry prawns, but not so crispy.
  3. Heat a pan with ghee & oil. Add whole spices. Fry.
  4. Then add onion.fry well.
  5. Then add crushed ingredients. Fry for a few minutes. Sprinkle some water if Masala sticks to the bottom.
  6. Add coconut milk. & salt. When coconut milk is half dry , add prawns. Cook till it s almost dry.
  7. Add rice & coriander leaves. Stir well. cook on low fire till rice s dry. .
  8. Serve hot with raita.
