About Prawn pulav. Recipe

A mild spicy rice pulav, in coconut milk.

Prawn pulav.

Ingredients to make Prawn pulav.

  • Prawns , cleaned & deveined 15
  • TO MARINATE PRAWNS
  • chilli powder 1 1/2 tbsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • salt
  • oil to deep fry prawns
  • Cooked rice 3 cups
  • coconut Milk 1 Cup
  • onion 1 . sliced
  • salt
  • Ghee & oil 3 tbsp
  • coriander leaves 3/4 cup
  • To crush
  • Small onion 10
  • garlic 5 cloves
  • green chillies 3
  • ginger a small piece
  • Whole spices
  • cinnamon 1 inch piece
  • cardamom 3
  • cloves 4

How to make Prawn pulav.

  1. Marinate prawns with the given ingredients & Keep for 1/2 an hr.
  2. Fry prawns, but not so crispy.
  3. Heat a pan with ghee & oil. Add whole spices. Fry.
  4. Then add onion.fry well.
  5. Then add crushed ingredients. Fry for a few minutes. Sprinkle some water if Masala sticks to the bottom.
  6. Add coconut milk. & salt. When coconut milk is half dry , add prawns. Cook till it s almost dry.
  7. Add rice & coriander leaves. Stir well. cook on low fire till rice s dry. .
  8. Serve hot with raita.

My Tip:

U can cook it in rice cooker.
