ABOUT Mango Lassi RECIPE

Lassi is a popular traditional yogurt-based drink from Punjab, India. Mango Lassi (light and thin) is a wonderful thirst quenching and refreshing drink. It is a nutritious and healthy drink yet very easy to prepare in your home. It is a combination of fresh and sweet mangoes, thick creamy yogurt, cardamom powder, sugar and water. Normally Mango Lassi is thick in texture and highlights the mango and yogurt flavor. In this recipe with the help of water and fresh milk we are able to mask yogurt's strong smell and taste. If anybody does not like the taste of yogurt, he/she will also enjoy this recipe. It is a good refreshing drink/cocktail for parties and festivals.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Sweet and fleshy Mango, 1 Medium Size, Remove Skin and dice
  2. Yogurt, 1/2 Cup, Thick and Smooth
  3. Fresh Milk, 1/4 Cup, Chilled
  4. Water, 1/4 Cup, Chilled
  5. Cardamom, 2, Crushed
  6. Sugar, As per your Taste
  7. Chopped Mango pieces, Few, For garnishing
  8. Cardamom Powder, A pinch, For garnishing

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend and make a smooth shake.
  3. Serve immediately with or without ice cubes and enjoy!
