ABOUT Langarwali Aloo Gobhi ki Subji | Potato and Cauliflower Curry RECIPE

Langar food is really yummy, its simple and no fancy ingredients go in it, only fresh ingredients and you can taste that in the food. Never had a chance yet to taste it but would love to make it at home. I will taste it when I will have chance but until then I can enjoy this at home. This has nothing fancy or out of the pantry ingredients, but taste so good.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 3 cups of cauliflower florets
  2. 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  3. 2-3 cloves of garlic chopped
  4. 1 tbsp Red chili powder or as per taste
  5. salt and lime juice to taste
  6. 1 potato cut in small cubes
  7. 1/4 cup frozen or fresh peas
  8. 1 tbsp shredded ginger
  9. 1 small onion chopped
  10. 1 green chili chopped
  11. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  12. 1 tbsp cumin coriander powder
  13. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  14. few leaves of coriander chopped
  15. 2 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Heat a oil in pan, add mustard seeds, when it starts popping, add onion, cook till its little brown. Add Ginger, garlic and chilies and cook for 30 seconds. Add all the powder masala. Mix it.
  2. Then add cut and washed cauliflower, potatoes and peas. Add salt and cook it on slow flame with the lid on.
  3. You have to make sure that it cooks on slow flame and you don't mix over and over and brake florets. That's the only thing you have to keep in mind.
  4. When its done, sprinkle some lime juice and coriander leaves and serve hot with rotis and dal. Langarwali aloo gobi ki subzi is ready to eat.
