Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For dough:Gram flour 200 gms
  2. Salt to taste
  3. Chilly powder 1 tsp
  4. Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  5. Kasuri methi powder 1 tsp
  6. Ghee 2 tsp
  7. Curd 4 tsp
  8. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  9. For stuffing:Chopped and fried cashews 10
  10. Chopped raisins 10-12
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Chilly powder 1/2 tsp
  13. Mawa 100 gms
  14. Ghee 2 Tbsp
  15. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  16. For gravy:Ajwain 1/2 tsp
  17. Fennel Seeds 1 tsp
  18. Hing 2 pinch
  19. Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  20. Besan 2 tbsp
  21. Chilly powder 1 tsp
  22. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  23. Cumin powder 1 tsp
  24. Coriander powder 2 tsp
  25. Curd 1 cup
  26. Fresh tomato puree 1 cup
  27. Spicy bikaneri bhujia 2 tbsp
  28. Chopped coriander 2 tbsp
  29. Kasuri methi 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. For dough:
  2. In a bowl, add gram flour, salt, red chilly powder, kasuri methi, baking powder, ghee, curd and turmeric powder. Knead a dough and cut into small balls.
  3. For stuffing: In a pan, fry cashew and kishmish and chop them. Add salt, red chilly powder, khoya and mix well.
  4. Take small portion of dough, shape it like a small bowl, fill in the stuffing, close gatte and shape it like a tikki.
  5. In another pan boil water and 2 tsp ghee, salt, 2 tbsp curd and add govind gatte to boil.
  6. When done, remove it from the pan and fry them in oil.
  7. For gravy: In a pan heat ghee add carom seeds, cumin, asafoetida, fennel seeds, whole chilly, ginger - garlic paste, gram flour and saute.
  8. Add red chilly powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, curd, tomato puree, left over water while cooking govind gatte and bikaneri bhujia.
  9. Add govind gatte, chopped coriander and kasuri methi.
  10. Serve hot with roti and rice.
