Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 5-6 Bhavnagri Green Chillies or any Chillies (Banana Peppers) which are on the lower end of heat
  2. 2-3 Potatoes boiled and mashed
  3. 1-1/2 - 2 Cups Gram Flour (Besan)
  4. 2 Green Chillies finely chopped
  5. 1/4 Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  6. 1 Tablespoon red chilli powder
  7. 1 Tablespoon fennel seeds powder ( Saunf powder)
  8. 1 Tablespoon cumin powder
  9. 1 Tablespoon Anardana or Aamchur powder
  10. Finely Chopped Fresh Coriander Leaves
  11. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl combine mashed Potatoes, Red Chilli Powder, Cumin Powder, Fennel Powder, Anardana Powder, Chopped Green Chillies, Chopped Coriander Leaves and Salt as per taste.
  2. Slit Green Chillies and de-seed if you wish.
  3. Stuff this mixture into the green chillies.
  4. Prepare thick batter of gram flour, red chilli powder and salt by adding little water at a time.
  5. Heat oil in frying pan to a moderate tempareture. 
  6. Dip stuffed chillies into the gram flour batter and deep fry until golden brown in color.
  7. Serve hot with Sweet n Sour Khajur (Dates) & Imli(Tamarind)Chutney.
