About MUTTON MASALA Recipe

A delicious recipe of mutton curry to be served with some hot rice.

MUTTON MASALA

Ingredients to make MUTTON MASALA

  • Mutton - 500 gms
  • clarified butter - 1/2 cup
  • Chopped onion - 2
  • ginger garlic paste - 1 - 2 tbsp
  • coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • cloves - 2 - 3
  • Black cardamom - 1
  • cinnamon - 1 inch stick
  • Green cardamom - 3
  • cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • salt - to taste
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • red chilly powder - 1 tbsp

How to make MUTTON MASALA

  1. Heat half cup clarified butter in a pan.
  2. Add all whole garam masala/hot spices to crackle.
  3. Add onion and saute when its colors change add mutton pieces and saute for 4 - 5 mins.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste,red chilly powder,turmeric powder and coriander powder and saute for 4 - 5 mins.
  5. Add salt and mix well.
  6. Add half cup of water and cover the lid.
  7. Cook in a slow flame for ten mins S
  8. Serve hot with rice or chapatis
