A beautiful bengali recipe of prawns made with spices ans coconut milk to be served with hot rice.

Prawn malai curry

Ingredients to make Prawn malai curry

  • Prawns - 10
  • Chopped onion - 1
  • Chopped tomato - 1
  • ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • (Cloves+ elaichi + cinnamon) powder - 1/2 tsp
  • salt
  • coconut milk - 1 cup
  • Refined oil
  • sugar - 1 tsp

How to make Prawn malai curry

  1. Heat oil in a kadhai, add chopped onions and fry till golden brown.
  2. Then add the tomatoes. Saute for 2 minutes and then add the ginger garlic paste, followed by all the spices and salt .
  3. Cook on a low flame till the masala is cooked. Then add the prawns and cook till they are done.
  4. Then add the coconut milk, bring it to boil, check for salt. Add the sugar now and then serve.
