Methi Mutter Malai

Ingredients to make Methi Mutter Malai

  • 1 Bunch of Fresh fenugreek Leaves, washed
  • 1 Small onion Chopped
  • 1/2 tomato Chopped
  • 1 Cup Frozen Mutter / peas (If you are using fresh peas , boil & use in recipe)
  • 3/4 Cup Fresh cream (Adjust according to the consistency of gravy u like)
  • 2-3 garlic Chopped
  • 1 Inch ginger grated
  • 1 Tablespoon of cashewnuts soaked for about 2 hours
  • 1 Tablespoon kasuri methi
  • 2 Black cardamoms
  • 1/2 Teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Garam masala
  • salt as per taste

How to make Methi Mutter Malai

  1. Finely Chop Fenugreek Leaves.
  2. Combine Onion, tomato, green chillies, ginger, garlic and cashewnuts in a mixie jar and grind to a fine paste adding little water.
  3. Heat oil in pan and add jeera and black cardamoms.
  4. Add ground paste into it and sauté till oil starts  to leaves the sides of the mixture.
  5. Add chopped fenugreek leaves, salt and garam-masala and give it a quick mix.
  6. Now add little crushed kasuri methi, frozen peas and mix well.
  7. Add very little water, cover and cook on low heat.
  8. Now Pour fresh cream , mix well and cook for about 3-4 minutes on low heat.
  9. Serve hot with Chapati, Roti, Parathas or Naan.
