This recipe is tasty,creamy,with melt in a mouth paneer.

Paneer lababdar.

Ingredients to make Paneer lababdar.

  • paneer 200 gms
  • onions 2 nos medium
  • tomatoes 250 gms
  • laving 2
  • Tejpatta 1
  • choti ellachi 1
  • Oil2 tbsp
  • butter 2 tbsp
  • water half cup for making tomato paste
  • water as required to adjust gravy concistency
  • Garam masala half tsp
  • turmeric pinch
  • red chilli pwd 2 tsps
  • coriander pwd 2 tsps
  • sugar 1 tsp
  • Kasoori methi 1 tsp
  • 10 to 12 cashews
  • FRESH cream 2 TBSP
  • Ggc paste 1 tsp

How to make Paneer lababdar.

  1. In a pan heat water ,add tomatoes, cashews and laving,ellachi .
  2. Cook till tomatoes are soft.
  3. Grind this mixture into fine paste (smooth)(Keep aside)
  4. Now in a pan heat oil and butter together.
  5. Add onions chopped and saute till golden.
  6. Add tejpatta and ggc paste.
  7. Now add tomato puree which we made
  8. Add salt, sugar,all masalas.
  9. Cook till fat is separated from the gravy.
  10. Add kasoori methi and garam masala.
  11. Add little water and paneer pieces.
  12. Cook for a while and add fresh cream
  13. Add one small blob of butter as it enhances the taste.(optional)
  14. Garnish with coriander leaves and grated paneer.

My Tip:

To enhance taste of this subzi heat oil and butter 1 tbsp each and add 1 spoon kashmiri red chilli and pour over gravy
