About Goli baje. Recipe

Mangalorian bajji or bonda. A south indian delicacy served with chutney for evening tea or coffee. A very popular snack.

Ingredients to make Goli baje.

  • maida 1 cup
  • Rice flour 1tbsp
  • curd 1 cup
  • onion 1 small if big 1/2, finely chopped
  • green chillies paste 1 tsp
  • ginger finely 1tsp chopped
  • coconut pieces 1 tsp.chopped
  • coriander leaves 2 tsp finely chopped
  • curry leaves 1 tsp
  • hing 2 pinch
  • salt
  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  • oil to deep fry
  • For chutney
  • coconut 1/2 cup
  • Small onion 3
  • green chillies 2
  • tamarind 1 /2 tsp
  • salt

How to make Goli baje.

  1. Mix all ingredients given except oil. Knead the dough for sometime, to make it fluffy.
  2. Cover & Keep aside for 3 hrs.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Take lemon size balls from dough & deep fry in oil.
  4. Grind all ingredients given for chutney.
  5. Serve hot the goli bajje with chutney
