About Seviyon ka Meetha... Recipe

An easy peasy dessert with thin vermicelli popular in Hyderabad and made on any special occasion or as a weekend special dessert. Made in various styles, the taste of it still remains the same and is loved by everyone including the kids. A best choice to rely upon for a scrumptious dessert after a meal anytime you crave for something sweet that just melts in your mouth.

Seviyon ka Meetha...

Ingredients to make Seviyon ka Meetha...

  • Sewaiyan 1/4th kg
  • sugar 3/4th cup
  • Milk 1 cup
  • cardamom pods crushed 3
  • ghee 2 tbsp
  • Mixed dry fruits slivered 1/4th cup
  • raisins 1/4th cup
  • Fresh cream 1/2 cup

How to make Seviyon ka Meetha...

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and shallow fry the nuts and raisins.
  2. In the same pan, stir fry the sewaiyan until golden brown in colour.
  3. Keep stirring and do not burn them. Crush them with hands before frying.
  4. Add sugar immediately if you want a crispier dessert.
  5. If not, then add milk first and cook for 4-5 minutes and then add sugar.
  6. Also add the nuts and the raisins too.
  7. Stir in the fresh cream now.
  8. Cover and simmer until done. Do not overcook. Let it be on the firmer side only.
  9. Serve hot immediately.
