About chicken korma Recipe

It is an awadhi dish which is light n yellow colored gravy.Mainly yoghurt based.Has many other versions where cashew nuts paste and coconut milk/cream is often used but this recipe is super simple and delicious.So enjoy cooking

Ingredients to make chicken korma

  • chicken with bones-500gms
  • ghee for cooking
  • onions thick paste-2 medium
  • ginger garlic paste-2 -3 tablespoons
  • whisked curd-300gms
  • korma masala(national)-2-3 spoons
  • salt to taste
  • fried onions
  • kasoori methi
  • kewra water

How to make chicken korma

  1. wash chicken and keep aside.
  2. In a pan take some ghee and once its warm add onion paste to it.
  3. stir it till it is transparent.Add ginger garlic paste.
  4. Stir for few minute.Color should remain transparent.
  5. add curd to it,korma masala and mix.adjust salt if required.
  6. Cover it with lid for 5 min.Then add chicken pcs ad mix well in medium flame for 5 min.
  7. Cover it with lid again and let it cook till chicken is cooked well and gravy thickens.
  8. Add crushed kasoori methi and kewra water.
  9. serve it and garnish with fried onions.
