Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Basmati rice 2 cups
  2. Potatoes 5-6
  3. Onions 1/2 cup
  4. Oil for deep frying (3 cups)
  5. Water 1 cup
  6. Salt a pinch
  7. tomatoes 2
  8. Ginger-garlic paste 1 tbsp
  9. Desicated coconut 1/2 cup
  10. Green chillies 1/4 cup
  11. Jeera 1/4 cup
  12. Tej patta 1-2
  13. Cloves 2-3
  14. Cardamom 2-3
  15. Red chilly powder 1 spoon
  16. turmeric powder 1 spoon
  17. Ramdev garam masala 1 spoon
  18. Coriander Powder 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. First, soak basmati rice in water for sometime.
  2. Heat oil in kadhai and deep fry potatoes.
  3. Then fry onions.
  4. In grinder jar take tomatoes, green chillies, jeera, ginger-garlic paste, desicated coconut , water if required and make puree of it.
  5. Heat oil in pan then add tej patta, cloves, cardamom.
  6. Then add puree, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt.
  7. Now add potatoes and onions.
  8. Finally add water and basmati rice and cook well.
  9. Serve it with raita or dahi.
