About Aloo Biryani Recipe

Aloo Biryani

Ingredients to make Aloo Biryani

  • Basmati rice 2 cups
  • potatoes 5-6
  • onions 1/2 cup
  • oil for deep frying (3 cups)
  • water 1 cup
  • salt a pinch
  • tomatoes 2
  • ginger-garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Desicated coconut 1/2 cup
  • green chillies 1/4 cup
  • jeera 1/4 cup
  • tej patta 1-2
  • cloves 2-3
  • cardamom 2-3
  • red chilly powder 1 spoon
  • turmeric powder 1 spoon
  • Ramdev garam masala 1 spoon
  • coriander Powder 1/4 cup

How to make Aloo Biryani

  1. First, soak basmati rice in water for sometime.
  2. Heat oil in kadhai and deep fry potatoes.
  3. Then fry onions.
  4. In grinder jar take tomatoes, green chillies, jeera, ginger-garlic paste, desicated coconut , water if required and make puree of it.
  5. Heat oil in pan then add tej patta, cloves, cardamom.
  6. Then add puree, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt.
  7. Now add potatoes and onions.
  8. Finally add water and basmati rice and cook well.
  9. Serve it with raita or dahi.
