ABOUT Chocolate Chunk Cookies RECIPE

Around this time of the year when the heat is on and I always have a moment where I tend to feel just being tired of this sunny weather. Children have vacations and most of the day want to snack, so I have something to please them too.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 300 grams flour
  2. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  3. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  4. 1/3 cup coarsely chopped dark chocolate
  5. 1/3 cup coarsely chopped almonds and walnuts
  6. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  7. 1/2 cup Sugar
  8. 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  9. 1/2 cup groundnut oil
  10. 1/2 cup water
  11. 2 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degree and line an baking tray with butter paper and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, salt, dark chocolate chunks, chopped almonds and walnuts.
  3. In a another small bowl stir together sugar, oil, water and vanilla.

  5. Now refrigerate this mixture for half hour.
  6. After when the dough is cool, make small balls of it, roughly with the help of a spoon and put it on a baking tray and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a tester comes out with just a few crumbs attached.
  7. The top of the cookies will not brown so be careful not to over bake. Let the cookies cool in the pan for 10 minutes then lift out and let cool completely on a rack.
  8. Drizzle or pour or dip - melted chocolate on the cookies and let it cool for sometime and the summer afternoon party with a glass of cold coffee and handful of cookies is on
