About Chicken Chengezi Recipe

Chicken chengezi is very famous in punjab. It consists of almonds and cashews thats make it very perfect. Chicken becomes so flavorful you will lick your fingers

Chicken Chengezi

Ingredients to make Chicken Chengezi

  • 1kg chicken
  • 200gms tomatoes puree
  • 3 onions boiled and puree
  • 2tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1/2 grated coconut
  • 1 cup almonds and cashews paste
  • 1/2 cup walnut paste
  • salt to taste
  • turmeric
  • Deegi mirch powder
  • 2tsp coriander powder
  • 1tsp chicken masala
  • 1tsp garam masala
  • 1tsp Kasturi methi
  • 1cup cream

How to make Chicken Chengezi

  1. Marinate chicken with 1cup curd, turmeric, salt deegi mirch and chicken masala and shalllow fry on tawa.
  2. In another pan, take oil, add cumin powder and garam masala and chicken masala
  3. Now add onion paste and saute.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and tomatoe puree and cook until oil separates
  5. Now add turmeric, salt, corriander powder and coconut
  6. Now add cashews-almonds paste and walnut paste
  7. Saute with little water
  8. Now add chicken to it and cook for another 5 mins.
  9. Turn off the gas and add cream to it and kasturi methi and serve hot
