Makhane ki kheer

Ingredients to make Makhane ki kheer

  • Chopped makhana 2 cups
  • ghee 1 tbsp
  • Milk 2 cups
  • Milk powder 60 gm or 8 tbsp
  • sugar 3 tbsp
  • cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
  • Chopped mix dry fruits ( cashews , almonds , pistachios , chironji ) 2 tbsp
  • saffron 1 pinch

How to make Makhane ki kheer

  1. Cut one makhana into three or four pieces, chop all makhana in the same way .
  2. Roast the makhana with ghee very well. Keep aside .
  3. Soak the saffron in 1 tsp lukewarm water.
  4. Boil the milk in a pan add milk powder little at a time and mix well . Add makhana and let it boil till looks like kheer. Add sugar, dry fruits, saffron water and cardamom powder, after 5 minutes turn off the flame .

My Tip:

We can use mawa instead of milk powder
