ABOUT Sukhi bhindi (Dry ladies finger) RECIPE

Sukhi bhindi is spicy, crunchy and easy to prepare. It is a traditional punjabi dish. The Punjabi people love bhindi and eat it in every form. It goes well with Steamed rice, dal etc. It has a dry texture ; there is no stickiness. So, be careful while preparing this delicious masala fry.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chopped ladies finger - 2 cups
  2. Chopped tomato - 1 medium size
  3. Chopped onion - 1 tbsp
  4. Chopped garlic - 1 tsp
  5. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
  6. Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  7. Dry mango powder - 1 tsp
  8. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  9. Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  10. Corriander leaves - 1 tbsp
  11. Salt - As required
  12. Mustard oil - 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a kadai.
  2. Add chopped onion, garlic, tomato, ladies finger.
  3. Stir till it becomes tender.
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients. Cover the lid for sometime.
  5. Sprinkle lemon juice before serving.
