Roti Rolls

Ingredients to make Roti Rolls

  • • Left Over Chapatis / Rotis – 5 Nos
  • white chick peas – ½ Cup
  • garlic Cloves – 2 to 3
  • • Boiled & Mashed potatoes – 1 Cup
  • • Grated carrots – 3/4th Cup
  • • Green peas - Few
  • • Grated onion – 3/4th Cup
  • red chilli Powder / lal mirchi – 1 tsp
  • • Garam masala – 1/4th tsp
  • salt – 3/4th tsp
  • • Asafetida / hing – 1/4th tsp
  • • Fresh coriander Leaves / dhaniya
  • water as required
  • oil to deep fry
  • • Green Chillies for garnishing

How to make Roti Rolls

  1. • In a blender take, left over Rotis furthermore, add soaked White Chickpeas and Garlic Cloves into it and grind into fine powder.
  2. • In a mixing bowl, add the blender mixture.
  3. • Then add boiled and mashed potatoes, grated Carrots, Green Peas and grated Onion in the bowl.
  4. • Add all the spices Red Chilli Powder, Garam Masala, Hing and Salt in the mixing bowl.
  5. • Then add fresh Coriander Leaves and mix well knead like a dough.
  6. • If required add few drops of water and make cylindrical rolls out of it.
  7. • Heat the Oil in a pan, add rolls into it, and deep-fry the rolls until golden brown.
  8. • Make sure do not add all the rolls together in heating Oil, this can break the rolls while frying so just add 2-3 rolls at one time and deep fry.
  9. • Remove the rolls on kitchen towel and serve hot with Tomato sauce or Mint chutney.
  10. • Served as snacks and garnish with Green Chillies.
