ABOUT Multi layered paneer parcels RECIPE

These multi layered parcels are a medly of flavours beginning from soft creamy paneer then spicy potato masala followed by crunch from spinach. They are delicious, colourful, presentable and very impressive. These beautiful parcels will soon be your family's favourite.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 250gms of fresh paneer
  2. 2tsp chaat masala
  3. For potato layer
  4. 3-4 small boiled and peeled potatoes
  5. Salt
  6. 1tsp red chilli powder
  7. 1tsp chopped green chillies
  8. 1tbsp chopped green coriander
  9. 1TSP CUMIN POWDER
  10. 8 - 10 big sized spinach leaves
  11. 1 cup Gram Flour
  12. 1/4 cup rice flour
  13. Salt
  14. 1tsp carom seeds
  15. Water as needed
  16. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. CUT FRESH PANEER INTO 1/2" INCH THICK SQUARES JUST AS SHOWN IN THE VIDEO
  2. SPRINKLE CHAAT MASALA OVER PANEER SQUARES AND SPREAD EVENLY. COVER THE BOWL AND KEEP ASIDE FOR 10 MINUTES.
  3. IN ANOTHER MIXING BOWL MASH BOILED POTATOES
  4. TO THIS ADD CHOPPED CHILLIES, CORIANDER,SALT RED CHILLI POWDER AND CUMIN POWDER. MIX WELL AND KEEP ASIDE
  5. SPREAD THE PANEER SQUARES IN A PLATE . NOW APPLY THE POTATO LAYER ON 1 SIDE OF THE PANEER SQUARES ,EVENLY.
  6. PRESS THE POTATO LAYER ON THE PANEER SQUARES SO THAT IT STAYS INTACT
  7. NOW WRAP EACH OF THE PANEER POTATO SQUARE WITH A SPINACH LEAF.
  8. USE BOTH THE HANDS FOR A NEATER WRAP AS I DID WITH 1 HAND SINCE I WAS HOLDING CAMERA WITH ANOTHER
  9. IN A LARGE BOWL PUT GRAM FLOUR,RICE FLOUR,SALT AND CAROM SEEDS
  10. ADD LITTLE WATER TGEN WHISK AND THEN AGAIN SO THAT A THICK BATTER IS FORMED
  11. THE BATTER CONSISTENCY HAS TO BE THICK AND FLOW RIBBON LIKE AS SHOWN IN THE VIDEO
  12. DIP THE PACKED PARCELS IN THE BATTER AND COAT EVENLY FROM ALL SIDES
  13. SLIP IT SLOWLY IN THE HOT OIL FOR DEEP FRYING. FRY TILL GOLDEN AND STRAIN ON A KITCHEN TOWEL. REPEAT THE PROCESS WITH REST OF THE PARCELS
