Ingredients to make Methi Matar Malai

  • 1/2 cup cashewnuts soak in milk
  • 2cups finely chopped methi
  • 1cup boiled green peas
  • 1/2 cup malai
  • 1/2Cup milk
  • 7-8Cloves garlic crushed
  • 1-2Green chilly crushed
  • salt to taste
  • sugar half tsp
  • Ghee2tsp
  • 1Cup finely chopped onion

How to make Methi Matar Malai

  1. SOAK 1/2 CASHEWS IN WARM MILK FOR 1 HOUR, BLEND INTO A SMOOTH, THICK PASTE
  2. HEAT 2 TSP GHEE, ADD 1 TSP CUMIN SEEDS, 1-2 CRUSHED GREEN CHILLIES, 7-8 CRUSHED GARLIC CLOVES
  3. ADD 1 CUP CHOPPED ONIONS, FRY TILL GOLDEN BROWN
  4. ADD THE READY CASHEW PASTE
  5. ADD 1/2 CUP MALAI / MILK CREAM, STIR BRISKLY FOR 1 MINUTE
  6. ADD 1/2 CUP MILK
  7. ADD SALT TO TASTE, 2 CUPS FINELY CHOPPED FRESH FENUGREEK LEAVES
  8. ADD 1/2 TSP SUGAR
  9. ADD 1/2 CUP BOILED GREEN PEAS, COVER & COOK ON SLOW-MEDIUM HEAT FOR 5-7 MINS
  10. SERVE HOT
