Ingredients to make Lauki ka Halwa

  • Louki [bottle gourd] 1 kg
  • sugar 2cup
  • Milk 1cup
  • Khoya 200gm
  • Cadamum powder 1tsp
  • ghee 5stp
  • almonds 25
  • Ceshwnut 25
  • Green colour if your choice
  • ghee

How to make Lauki ka Halwa

  1. COOK 200 GMS CRUMBLED KHOYA, STIRRING CONTINUOUSLY ON MEDIUM HEAT
  2. COOK UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN, TAKE OFF HEAT, SET ASIDE
  3. GRATE 1 KG PEELED BOTTLEGOURD
  4. SQUEEZE IT DRY
  5. HEAT 3 TSP GHEE, ADD THE GRATED BOTTLEGOURD, SAUTE FOR 2 MINS
  6. ADD 1 CUP MILK, COOK ON MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL THE MILK IS ABSORBED
  7. ADD 2 CUPS SUGAR, COOK UNTIL IT GETS DISSOLVED
  8. ADD 1-2 PINCHES OF EDIBLE FOOD COLOUR
  9. ADD 1 TSP CARDAMOM POWDER, SAUTE
  10. ADD THE COOKED KHOYA, MIX
  11. ADD 1/4 CUP CHOPPED ALMONDS & CASHEWS, COOK FOR 2 MINS
  12. LAUKI HALWA IS READY
  13. ENJOY!
