ABOUT Hyderabadi Egg Biryani RECIPE

Hyderbad egg biryani made in a easy and shortened the procedure by 20 minutes with same flavourfull taste.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Basmati rice - 3 cups
  2. Water - 4 1/2 cups
  3. Eggs - 7
  4. Onions - 2
  5. Tomatoe - 1
  6. Bay leaves - 2 to 3
  7. Cardamon-3
  8. Cinnamon - 1 stick
  9. Cloves - 3
  10. Star ainse - 1
  11. Oil - 1 tbsp
  12. Ghee - 2 tbsp
  13. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  14. Biryani masala powder / garam masala powder - 1 tbsp
  15. For the egg fry :
  16. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  17. Pepper - 1 tsp
  18. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  19. Gram flour - 2 tbsp
  20. Salt to taste
  21. For the biryani (masala paste) :
  22. Garlic cloves - 5
  23. Ginger - 1 inch
  24. Green chillies - 4
  25. Coriander - 1/2 cup
  26. Mint leaves - 1/2 cup
  27. Cumin - 1/2 tbsp
  28. Fennel seeds - 1/2 tbsp
  29. Khus khus - 1 tbsp
  30. Cashew - 6
  31. Water required to make a paste
  32. Saffron milk :
  33. Milk - 1/2 cup
  34. Saffron strands - 10 to 15

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak rice with plenty of water.
  2. Soak saffron in warm milk
  3. Boil the eggs, peel and make slits all over.
  4. To a pan add 2 tbsp oil add the eggs. Sprinkle salt, ginger garlic paste and the dry masalas with the gram flour. Stir fry well coating the masalas and switch off.
  5. Add oil and ghee to a pressure pan. Start tempering with bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon, cardamon.
  6. Add sliced onions and brown them well. Add chopped tomatoes and the green masala paste. Cook till tomatoes are mushy.
  7. Now add biryani masala powder / garam masala powder, red chilli powder and mix well
  8. Add the rice, water and salt for seasoning. Mix well. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
  9. Open and place the eggs inside. Sprinkle saffron milk all over. Sprinkle a tbsp of chopped mint leaves all over.
  10. Cover and cook for 5 more minutes. Switch off and leave for some time.
  11. Serve flavourfull biryani with onion cucumber raita.
