About Matar Mushroom vegetable Recipe

This is a rich vegetable of punjab.very rich and delicious. Creamy tasty vegetable which can be served with naan and phulka.

Ingredients to make Matar Mushroom vegetable

  • 1 packet mushrooms
  • 1 cup boiled peas
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 1 green chilli
  • 10-12 cashews
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp jeera
  • 1 bayleaf
  • 2 cardmon
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp haldi
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp kasoori methi
  • coriander leaves

How to make Matar Mushroom vegetable

  1. Chop mushrooms and wash with hot water
  2. Boil peas
  3. Heat oil add jeera,bay leaf and cardmon
  4. Add garlic ginger and onion
  5. Saute them when onion become pink add tomato and cook
  6. Add all spices and turn off gas
  7. Let it cool
  8. Make cashew paste
  9. Make paste in mixi of onion tomato masala
  10. Add this masala in pan and add cashew paste
  11. Cook a little and add 1/2 cup water
  12. Add peas and mushrooms
  13. Cover and cook
  14. Add kasoori methi and garam masala
  15. Our mushroom matar is ready
