About Masala Bread Recipe

An easy , quick , finger licking breakfast that is loved by all in the family .

Masala Bread

Ingredients to make Masala Bread

  • Brown bread slices 5 cut into small square sized pieces .
  • butter 1.5 tablespoons
  • onion big sized finely chopped 1
  • tomato big sized , ripe , finely chopped 1
  • salt to taste
  • ginger garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • red chilli Powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chaat masala / dry mango powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • Kasuri methi / dry fenugreek leaves 1 teaspoon
  • Finely chopped cilantros 3 tablespoons
  • lime juice ( optional ) 1/2 teaspoon
  • water to sprinkle 3 tablespoons

How to make Masala Bread

  1. Melt a tablespoon of butter in a pan .
  2. Add one big sized onion finely chopped . Add 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste. Sauté well.
  3. Add one ripe big sized finely chopped tomato. Sauté till tomatoes turn glossy and soft .
  4. Add salt , 1/4 turmeric powder , 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder , 1/4 chaat masala,1/4 garammasala.
  5. Sprinkle little water . Cover the pan. Allow masala to cook completely till it releases butter .
  6. At this stage , add 1 teaspoon Kasuri methi . Stir and cook for 3 minutes .
  7. Add bread pieces , cut into small squares. 5 brown bread slices are used .
  8. Mix all together so that every bread piece is coated well with masala . Slow roast for 3 minutes.
  9. Slow roast under medium heat . Add remaining butter . Mix . Garnish with finely chopped cilantros.
  10. Serve hot with ketchup / garlic mayonnaise. Enjoy .
