Country Chicken / Nattu Kozhi Rasam

Ingredients to make Country Chicken / Nattu Kozhi Rasam

  • Country chicken bone Parts - 4 pieces
  • shallots -5 (finely chopped)
  • tomato -1 (Finely Choppes)
  • turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
  • red chilli powder -1 tsp
  • To Coarsely Grind :
  • pepper -1/2 tsp
  • jeera -1/2 tsp
  • garlic pods -1
  • shallots -2
  • fennel seeds -1/2 tsp
  • coriander Powder -1/2 tsp
  • To Temper :
  • jeera -1/2 tsp
  • curry leaves -1 sprig
  • salt -to taste
  • oil -1/2 tsp

How to make Country Chicken / Nattu Kozhi Rasam

  1. *In a pressure cooker add the chicken pieces,turmeric powder,red chilli pdr,chopped onion &tomato,4 cups water.Cook it upto 7 whistle.Because country chicken takes more time to cook.
  2. Once the pressure settled down drained the water ,remove the chicken pieces...You can add the chicken pieces in gravy or fry.
  3. Now grind the ingredients under "To coarsely grind " to a coarse powder.In a vessel add oil and temper with jeera and curry leaves.
  4. Now add the cooked water ,salt and coarse powder.Boil it for a min and switch off the flame.Serve it hot !!
