Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Paneer - 500 gms
  2. Capsicum - 1, cut into cubes
  3. Onion - 2 medium, paste or finely chopped
  4. Onion - 1, cut into cubes
  5. For gravy...
  6. Ginger Paste - 1 tsp
  7. Green chili - 1 chopped
  8. Tomato puree - 1 cup
  9. Turmeric powder 1-2 tsp
  10. Cumin powder - 2 tsp
  11. Chili powder 1-2 tsp
  12. Fresh cream 3-4 tbsp
  13. Garam masala 1-2 tsp
  14. Cardamom 2-3
  15. Cinnamon - 1/2 inch stick
  16. Cloves 3-4
  17. Cashewnuts 7-8
  18. Magaz - 1 tbsp
  19. Kasuri methi /dry fenugreek leaves '-1 tbsp
  20. Kadai masala ---
  21. Coriander seeds - 1 tbsp
  22. dry red chili - 2

Instructions

  1. Dry roast coriander seeds and dry red chillies and grind to a Coarse powder. Ready your kadai masala .keep aside..
  2. Soak cashew nuts and magaz in warm water for 40 - 45 minutes. Grind to a smooth paste.
  3. Heat kadai with 3-4 tbsp of oil. Add bay leaf, green cardamom, cinnamon and cloves.
  4. Then add onion paste /chopped .saute onion until gets light brown colour.
  5. Add ginger garlic paste, chopped green chili. Keep stirring.
  6. Add tomato puree, Give a nice stir.
  7. Add turmeric, chili, cumin powder, salt to taste and mix it well.
  8. Add beaten curd, cashew and magaz paste. Mix it well. Keep stirring.
  9. Add a small cup of water. Give a stir, reduce flame for 5-6 minutes.
  10. Add kadai paneer masala and paneer cubes followed by onion and capsicum. Mix it well.
  11. Keep gravy as per your desired consistency. Add garam masala, fresh cream and add crushed kasuri methi. Check seasoning and adjust accordingly. Sprinkle some coriander leaves.
  12. Serve hot.
