Multi Flour Thalipeeth

Ingredients to make Multi Flour Thalipeeth

  • wheat flour 1 1/2 cup
  • Maida/all purpose flour 1/2 cup
  • Suji 1/2 cup
  • Rice flour 1/2 cup
  • Jawar flour 1/2 cup
  • Chopped onion 1 cup
  • Green chilies 3
  • haldi 1/2tsp
  • Soaked chana daal 1/4cup
  • Dhaniya powder 1 teaspoon
  • cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • red chilli Powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ajwain/carom seeds 1/4 teaspoon
  • jeera 1/2 teaspoon
  • coriander leaves a handful
  • salt as per taste
  • oil as required

How to make Multi Flour Thalipeeth

  1. Mix all the ingredients except oil and with the help of water prepare the dough.
  2. The dough should be such that its easy to spread with hands. It should not be too hard, smooth-firm dough. Divide the dough into equal portions.
  3. Take a wet cotton cloth and apply some more water and take the dough and pat it evenly with your hands to a medium thin thalipeeth. Wet your hands in between with water to ease the patting. Make a hole on the thalipeeth so that they get cooked uniformly (making the hole is optional).
  4. Heat the griddle. When it is hot, put the thalipeeth cloth on the griddle (Thalipeeth side facing the griddle).
  5. Pour some oil in the holes and all over the thalipeeth. Cover and cook till it becomes slightly brown in colour. Then flip the thalipeeth and continue cooking for about a minute. Now the thalipeeth is ready and serve this with chutney or pickle or curd.
