Bajarbhang Kheer

Ingredients to make Bajarbhang Kheer

  • Bajarbhang 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp
  • Milk 2 + 1/4 cup
  • Soaked, peeled and sliced almonds 6
  • raisins 20
  • melon seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Green cardamom 1
  • Ground cashew powder 1 tbsp
  • sugar 5 tsp (or as per choice)

How to make Bajarbhang Kheer

  1. Soak bajarbhang in water and keep it aside for 30 minutes. Wash it well changing water every time.
  2. Take milk in the pan, add bajarbhang into it keep it on medium heat and boil well. Keep stirring in between.
  3. Add sliced almonds, raisins, cashew powder, melon seeds and sugar. Keep stirring.
  4. Garnish with rose petals, kewra or saffron (optional).
  5. Serve hot or cold.

My Tip:

If it thickens add hot milk in it.
