punjabi daal fry

Ingredients to make punjabi daal fry

  • 1 cup soaked and boiled arhar daal or toor daal
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • 1 green chilli chopped
  • salt to taste
  • garam masala half teaspoon
  • black pepper a pinch
  • chaat masala half teaspoon

How to make punjabi daal fry

  1. take a pan heat oil add onions fry till golden brown then add tomatoes and green chillies fry them again
  2. add all the masalas and fry nicely
  3. then add the boiled daal and fry for 5 minutes
  4. garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or chappati
