chicken sukka is a tamilnadu Style Chicken Fry very tasty and spicy dish.It’s perfect side dish to have with rice , Pulao , Biryani or any kind of southIndian variety rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. To cook
  2. Chicken - 250 grams (Boneless)
  3. Shallots - 10 no’s
  4. Seasame Oil - 3 Tbsp
  5. Cloves - 2
  6. Cinnamon Stick - 2”
  7. Cardamom - 2
  8. chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  9. Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp
  10. Coriander powder- 1 tsp
  11. Tomato - 1 small chopped
  12. Curry leaves - Chopped Fistful
  13. Ginger - 1 Tbsp Finely chopped
  14. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  15. Salt - 1.5 Tsp (To Taste)
  16. To Roast & Grind
  17. Pepper - 1 tsp
  18. Jeera- 1/2 tsp
  19. Fennel seeds-1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and clean the chicken use boneless chicken and cut into small cubes , that will helpful to cook well
  2. Chop the shallots and tomato into small pieces
  3. Now heat a kadai add cumin seeds(Jeera),Pepper & fennel seeds roast well
  4. After roasting in mixer or blender make it as a fine powder keep aside
  5. Now heat a kadai or non stick pan add oil let it heat.
  6. Add cloves,cinnamon stick & cardamom fry well
  7. Then add chopped onions sauté well
  8. Add ginger garlic paste sauté well until it’s raw flavor reduced
  9. Add chopped tomato sauté well until it turns mushy.
  10. Now add all masala powders (turmeric powder,Redchilli powder,Coriander powder ,Garam masala) sauté well and add 1/4 cup water let masala cook well
  11. When masala powder raw smell reduced add chicken pieces mix well with masala
  12. Add salt required and mix well keep the flame in medium and close the lid
  13. let chicken cook well for 10 minutes , open the lid stir occasionally.
  14. Add the grinded masala powder mix well with chicken.
  15. Finally roast the chicken in high flame so that masala coats well in chicken.
  16. Add chopped curry leaves and ginger mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes in high flame and switch off the flame
  17. Chicken chukka Varuval (Chicken Fry tamilnadu Style) Ready
